lyrics

i could write a story about how when i was young
my life was full of mystery and beautiful and fun
but i somehow grew into a man who must devise a cunning plan to pay the bills and throw my ills outside the door and let them spill into the street for those around me laugh at point and say man what does he eat
its seemed ive turned to skin and bone
eating once or twice or maybe none
confrontational a bit with anyone
who claims to maybe know more than me
i think I’m smart but i guess well see
when tomorrow comes and the fridge is laughing because i haven’t fed it in weeks
but i still sleep, with my head at the foot of the bed
living backwards is better cause you don’t end up dead
when you wake up with a smile cause of something you said
3 weeks before but your not charming any more you reminisce

so here we are now I’m living in bus on the outskirts of town near river a turned to dust
i would never have expected that i would be so truly blessed
to wake up every morning next to a goddess
but among the leaves and decaying matter strewn about the forest
i find myself going wild envisioning a future for us
where love is free and free love reigns down from the heavens
just like shower that you havent had in a while

you can say the odour rising up from under your arms
only adds to your manly charms
potent potion of testosterone
anoints the throne of the one you chose to call your own
and they could be yours forever if you set them free
now i know what that means to me
now i know what that means to me
to set them free
